Meghan Markle Insists Her Words Are ‘Not Controversial’ After Receiving Criticism For Her Political Stance

Ever since Meghan Markle spoke out about the importance of voting in the upcoming USA elections next month, she’s been getting a lot of criticism, including from the current POTUS, Donald Trump. That being said, the former Duchess is now addressing that hate, stressing that what she says is ‘not controversial’ no matter how many people push that narrative.

During a new video interview, Meghan Markle opened up about these issues that are so important to her and addressed the hate she’s been getting for doing just that ever since her return to the United States.

Meghan stressed that she is not concerned with what people say about her stances and actually thinks their negative responses to it are based on their own ‘interpretations’ and not on actual facts.

Chatting with Fortune‘s Ellen McGirt, Meghan explained that ‘If you look back at anything I’ve said, what ends up being inflammatory is people’s interpretation of it. But if you listen to what I actually say, it’s not controversial.’

As mentioned before, this comes after Donald Trump said he was not a fan of hers and even dissed her marriage with Prince Harry by warning him about Meghan.

‘I’m not a fan of hers, and I would say this, and she probably has heard that. I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he’s going to need it,’ the president said to the press when asked for his opinion on Meghan’s politically charged video.

While she never dropped any names, it was clear she was encouraging the American citizens to vote for Joe Biden in the presidential election and Trump obviously did not like that.

Meghan went on in her interview to say in part: ‘The moment that you’re able to be liberated from all these other opinions of what you know to be true, then I think it’s very easy to live with truth and live with authenticity. That’s how I choose to move through the world.’
