Not everyone was able to secure an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 pre-order, but that hasn’t stopped the hype one bit regarding the future of gaming. With a new direction and solid leadership under Phil Spencer, the Microsoft side of gaming platforms is celebrating a historic release with the Xbox Series X/S launch being the company’s largest yet.
In a recent tweet, Phil Spencer took to the social media platform to share the good news. More than that, he also gave hopefuls a heads up that restocks are coming soon. “Thank you for supporting the largest launch in Xbox history. In 24 hours, more new consoles sold, in more countries, than ever before. We’re working with retail to resupply as quickly as possible. You continue to show us the connective power of play is more important than ever.”

It’s good to see that Xbox Series X/S restocks are coming soon, something that Sony has also stated about the PlayStation 5 systems. While the launch lineup isn’t super stellar yet, which isn’t really new for the start of generational gaming, there is a lot of hype surrounding this year’s release. Pair that with many of us going back into lockdown with the continued spread of COVID-19, and the holiday season right around the corner, and you’ve got a good excuse to stay in, get cozy, and get gaming.
