Tiger Woods and his son Charlie will appear together at one golf tournament. One of the best golfers ever and his son are participating at the PNC Championship, the organizers revealed this Tuesday.

This interesting event is set to take place at the Ritz-Carlton Gold Club Orlando in Florida on December 19-20. Although it doesn’t carry some massive awards nor competitive points, the PNC Championship (or Father-Son challenge as some call it) has always been exciting because of its format.

Since the news broke out that Woods father-son duo accepted the offer to play, the social networks exploded. The entire golf community is eager to see Charlie next to his father and assess the capabilities of the 11-year old.

The 15-time major winner, too, can’t wait for the tournament to begin.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am to be playing with Charlie in our first official tournament together,” Woods said.
This won’t be the first time the two are on the court during one event, as Tiger often caddied for his son during his junior contests. One of the most recent was at the U.S. Kids Golf event at Hammock Creek Golf Club in Palm City, Florida, on August 9, and the younger Woods won it.
Charlie was launched in the center of attention following the 2019 Masters. Tiger won the fifth trophy there, but the first one with his son beside him.
After the end, the two hugged, and that picture went across the globe, becoming a symbol of Tiger’s comeback. It was also used to represent a famous golfer’s transformation, placed next to the picture of Tiger hugging his father following his first trophy at Augusta.
PNC Championship will also see John Daly, Greg Norman, Nick Price, Gary Player, and Lee Trevino, with their closest relatives. The reigning champions are Bernhard and Jason Langer, who succeeded Davis Love III and Davis Dru Love IV.

The condition which needs to be fulfilled to take part in this father-son challenge is that one player needs to be the major or the Players Championship winner and that the other doesn’t have a PGA Tour card. Alistair Johnston, an IMG executive, established the PNC Championship back in 1995, with the IMG and NBC owning this event.
