Rita Ora has been forced to pay a fine for a birthday party that she held over the weekend that violated Coronavirus rules. The singer turned 30-years-old on November 26, 2020, and she shared photos and videos from her special day on social media. She looked gorgeous in black PVC pants and a low cut, silver blouse that reflected lights and even shared a photo of herself eating cake. She celebrated her birthday party at West London’s Casa Cruz restaurant on Saturday night, but before long, police were called.
Unfortunately for Rita, her party was a violation of COVID-19 rules and police began an investigation into the case. Rita didn’t seem to understand that she was prohibited from celebrating with friends at the restaurant due to lockdown regulations and posted an apology on her official Instagram account where she referenced her inexcusable lack of judgment.

Due to the investigation, Rita was required to pay a fine of £10,000 or the equivalent of approximately $12,000. Under COVID-19 lockdown rules in London, restaurants need to remain closed except for takeout orders. Rita held her party at the restaurant and reportedly had 30 friends in attendance.
Rita took to her Instagram stories to issue an apology. She sated the following.
It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be ok. I’m deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk. This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgment. Given the restrictions, I realize how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility.
