The EXP Share has been a part of Pokemon video games. It first appeared as a method of giving a single Pokemon more practice, and in Sun and Moon, it was made a toggleable way to grant all of the Pokemon in the party XP.

Pokemon Sword and Shield also came with the EXP Share feature, but it couldn’t be switched off, which caused a lot of debate. Additionally, it was not switchable off in the most current sequels of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

EXP may be kept on by default, according to a Twitter post from Pokemon S/V leaker Blaines. Although this does not imply that it can’t be user selectable, it strongly implies that it cannot.

The words were already written on the walls. There’s almost no way that EXP Share won’t be a recurring element in the upcoming generation, given how it was put into Pokemon Sword, Shield, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl.

It is to be mentioned that, in contrast to the planned excursions of the prior games, it will be intriguing to watch how the EXP Share affects Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s open universe.
