Online Leaks Of Information Concerning The Unreal Engine 5 Tomb Raider Game Have Provided Us With Some Intriguing Additional Information

A few months ago, Crystal Dynamics stated that unreal Engine 5 would be used to create the brand-new adventure in the venerable Tomb Raider franchise.

Unfortunately, crystal Dynamics hasn’t offered any other information about the project save the announcement that a new Tomb Raider game is being worked on.

The game’s codename and information about Lara Croft were subsequently released online, so there are now more specifics regarding the title.

Sacred Symbols, a podcast by Colin Moriarty, is where ComicBook got this information. Even though Moriarty is a reputable industry source until formal announcements are made, fans should proceed with caution when interpreting his information.

For example, Moriarty claims that a draught leaked to him reveals that the upcoming Tomb Raider game is internally called Project Jawbreaker.

In the newest Tomb Raider game, Lara Croft is reported to be roughly 30 years old, and it appears like Crystal Dynamics is seeking a replacement for the character.

In the previous Tomb Raider reboot trilogy, Camilla Luddington, who won praise from critics, played Lara Croft. However, given Luddington’s performance’s positive reviews garnered, it is unclear why Crystal Dynamics wanted to cast a new Lara.

There may be a re-casting to emphasize this version of the character because the report depicts this Lara Croft as an experienced explorer “at the top of her game” at this stage in her career from what the reboot trilogy portrays.

Fans will have to wait for additional details on whether this new Tomb Raider game will genuinely have storyline connections to the reboot trilogy or if it will be another reboot.

The leak also revealed that Lara Croft would reportedly have a squad for her most recent quest, which is believed to take place “in a contemporary world devastated by a mysterious disaster.”

It works as long as it continues where the previous games left off. Various supporting players from the first two games in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy could make good candidates for Lara’s crew in this new game.
