Nintendo Switch Remaster Of Kid Icarus: Uprising Is In The Works, According To Rumor

Third-person shooter Kid Icarus Uprising, released in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS, might receive a remaster for the Nintendo Switch. A Zippo insider claims that Bandai Namco has been tasked with creating an upgraded version and that its debut is planned for 2023.

According to a recent blog post by the insider, Kid Icarus: Uprising is allegedly being remastered for the Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco, reportedly in charge of the remaster, will revamp the game with better graphics and a “far more approachable” control system. In addition, the game’s online multiplayer component is reportedly coming back, although, according to the leaker, it will employ Bandai Namco’s net code.

When reviving this story, it is best to take a sip of salt first, especially given how allegedly secretive and unpredictable Nintendo is. The Kid Icarus: Uprising remake is scheduled for release next year, so if it’s true, we may find it more intriguing than we would afterward.

Naturally, as with any rumor, it’s advisable to proceed cautiously, especially considering Nintendo’s well-known reputation for being reticent and unpredictable.

However, if the information provided by Zippo is accurate, Kid Icarus: Uprising’s remaster will be published the following year, and you may hear a lot about it. It’s interesting to note that in 2018, director Masahiro Sakurai said there was the little possibility the game would be modernized.

According to the source, the game’s creators intend to give it a “far more convenient” control mechanism and better graphics. In addition, the multiplayer aspect of the shooter’s enhanced version should also be back.

This rumor must be suspected, given Nintendo’s unpredictable nature and well-known secrecy. Notably, the father of Super Smash Bros. and development lead for Kid Icarus: Uprising, Masahiro Sakurai, stated in 2018 that the likelihood of a current game port was low.
