This holiday season, the singer sent some love to her many fans as well as to her family members and friends. As it seems, she felt like doing this more than ever after losing one of her cousins to cancer.

She started her message by revealing that her cousin, Peter passed away on Wednesday after battling cancer.
‘Hi guys, happy Thanksgiving. I hope you guys are able to have some fun today with everybody you can, or at least see your family on Zoom. And I especially wanted to send our love and our prayers to my cousins. And to everyone who cannot be where they want to be, with their loved ones, I’m with you, and happy Thanksgiving, and I hope that you are able to have some traditions left, like see the Macy’s Day Parade, or silly things like that that make everything feel a bit more normal,’ she wrote.
Lana Del Rey concluded her letter with: ‘So, sending you so much love and happy Thanksgiving’ and her followers definitely appreciated her sweet words.
The singer has apparently been doing her best, trying to adapt to the pandemic and all the ways in which society’s changed since March.
Just earlier this month, Lana was involved in a controversy over wearing a mesh mask at a book signing.
The singer took to her account after to explain that the protective mask had plastic sown on the inside so it was actually very safe.
‘The mask had plastic on the inside. They are commonly sewn in by stylists these days. I do not generally respond to articles because I do not care. But there you go. Same goes for everyone’s masks in my video. I am lucky enough to have a team of people who can do that,’ she posted at the time.
