A new report from Page Six today said Hailey Baldwin has unfollowed Carl Lentz, the Hillsong pastor, on Instagram, following his firing from the church.
In case you missed it, the mega-pastor released an Instagram statement earlier this month in which he claimed he had fallen prey to “moral failures.”
Last Thursday, Lentz announced on his social media that he had been “unfaithful” to his wife, Laura. Lentz is intimately connected to Justin Bieber and Hailey due to not only his relationship with the singer through some of his darkest times but also because he was the one to baptize Bieber in a bathtub just five years ago.
In his message, Lentz conceded that the “failure” was on him, and he took “full responsibility” for what he had done. Carl went on to say in his post that he has to start rebuilding the trust between himself and his wife, the mother of his children.
Lentz claimed he was going to “seek out the help” he needs. As it was previously reported, Brian Houston, the Hillsong founding member, confirmed the news of Carl’s firing in an email to staff members and other church attendees.
Religious News Service claimed there were “leadership issues” and “breaches of trust,” and that was the reason for his employment’s termination. Houston wrote in his message that it likely “came as a shock” to many of them, but it was for the best of everyone, including Carl, himself.

According to Page Six, Lentz still follows Baldwin, 23, and a number of other celebrities on the ‘Gram. As Mr. Houston had mentioned, the announcement of Carl’s firing has come as a surprise to many members of the congregation.
Moreover, it’s big news on account of the aforementioned relationship he has with Justin Bieber. In fact, Bieber had said in the past that Carl played a crucial role in his finding God, as well as his fight out of the darkness. Fans of the performing artist know Justin has struggled with mental health and other health issues for years.
