Ciara is bringing some joy and inspiration to social media this week, The wife of NFL star Russell Wilson shared a video where she singing uplifting lyrics from the song “In Spite Of Me,” her collaboration with gospel artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
The track was released a few days ago. Ciara used the clip to talk about God being great and always being there for her even when she does not really deserve it. Doing a song of that nature is a bit surprising and unexpected for Ciara, but she manages to pull it off.
The mother of three knows that 2020 has been challenging for most of her followers, so being featured on it might be the right move after all.
Ciara doing gospel music was such a shock that some people on social media decided to be mean about it. However, her backers are not sleeping.
One of them stated: “This lady is really really n here singing a worship song and y’all making fun of it. Everyone’s worship is not the same it sounds different and looks different! Worship him CiCi🙌🏾.”
A Second defender added: “Saying she can’t sing but she has hit records. Some things don’t matter. Some things can’t stop you if you put in the work.”
A third supporter chimed in: “Y’all better not drag CiCi, we all know sis is not a lead vocalist in these streets.. So let her live 😒.”
This critic still not backing down and hit back with: “Ciara cannot sing but she can put on a show and she has a beautiful soul but singing is not your calling you whisper n everyone.”
Another one explained: “it just looks like she had to work so hard to sing that. like, it was work… I like to see people sing effortlessly..”
This person stated: “I thnk she overrated! N a lot of her I wana say presence is based off having a bby by @future n doin that video where she stripped for everybody. I can’t remember any of her songs. But that’s neither here nor there. She seems happy and at peace so that’s all that matters”
