Tory Lanez shocked his fanbase – and his detractors – when he released his new surprise album, Daystar. The project is the first time we’ve heard anything from Tory ever since he was accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion during the summer months.
Lanez touched on a number of things on his new record, including the way in which his friends in the industry had distanced themselves from him as well as the idea that Megan and her team had tried to set him up.
Lanez denied ever having shot her in the feet, even though Megan has been adamant that it was him. Not long before Daystar was released, Charlamagne Tha God did an interview with VladTV in which he referred to Tory as the “Donkey of the Day.”
One person who has chosen to remain partial is Vlad from Vlad TV, simply because he doesn’t have any of the confirmed details yet. Reportedly, Vlad said to The Breakfast Club co-host that there are many reasons why a person would want to shoot another, however, the LAPD hasn’t released any more information about it so it’s still hard to say what happened.
Vlad also pointed out that Megan Thee Stallion is much taller and bigger than Lanez, leaving him to believe that perhaps there is another side to the story. Charlemagne disagreed with him and said he couldn’t think of a reason to “shoot an unarmed woman.”
The Breakfast Club co-host went on to say that it all goes back to what they had talked about earlier in the interview, the concept of “fragile egos,” the way a person feels like they’re not being respected because they don’t respect themselves enough as they should.
Charlamagne also touched on what he would do if put in a similar situation. He claimed if the same thing happened to him, and he had the other side of the story, the first thing he would do is come out with it and tell everyone.
The host did note, however, that Tory’s case is still ongoing and it was probably the reason why the Toronto artist hasn’t spoken on it much yet.
