Even though Cardi has been so bold and audacious in terms of her larger-than-life personality, the rapper did a new interview with Billboard in which she explained how timid she could be in certain situations. The rapper said that she was “shy” and “really shy” to reach out to other artists to ask them for a feature.
Cardi claimed it was mostly a problem when reaching out to men she admired and wanted to work with. The rapper went on to say that her greatest fear was to be “corny,” even though she knows she’s funny.
According to the “Bodak Yellow” performer, it’s one of the main reasons why she hasn’t gotten the collaboration yet with some of the biggest artists. She says she is too shy to ask, more importantly, she gets a “little star-struck” at times.

Additionally, the performing artist explained how her audaciousness prevents her from making more romantic songs. The rapper says she doesn’t like to talk about her personal issues in her music, because it makes her feel vulnerable and shy.
As it was already mentioned above, Cardi is known for being fairly bold and loud. It’s hard to imagine there is a soft, sensitive, side to the rapper’s personality, considering her other social media posts, including some of the comments she makes about her husband.

Earlier in the year, amid the news of her breakup with Offset, Cardi took to her Instagram to say that she was just a “crazy b*tch,” and it was really hard for her not to talk to her man and “really hard to have no d*ck.”
Currently, Cardi is working on the follow up to her next record, Invasion of Privacy, which came out two years ago in 2018. Cardi has been on top of the music world ever since, although, Megan Thee Stallion has temporarily taken the center stage.
