Anna De Armas Should Come to Bond Movie’s Premier Alone, Producers Say — Do They Have a Point?

Ben Affleck is reportedly not allowed to join his girlfriend, Ana De Armas, on the red carpet for the premiere of the upcoming Bond movie, ”No Time to Die” in November.

The producers fear that the Oscar-winning actor’s presence could overshadow Daniel Craig and the film’s release, internal sources told The Sun. The movie was planned to hit theaters in April, but it was postponed due to pandemic.

”No Time to Die” is the 25th film in the James Bond franchise and the Craig’s fifth and last outing as the legendary MI6 agent. Ana De Armas portrays a CIA agent named Paloma, who is assisting James Bond.

The preparations for the premiere took quite a lot of time, sources added. According to them, the producers want the spotlight to be on the movie stars, not on the relationship of Ana de Almas and Ben Affleck.

Since they opened up about their relationship in March, the couple has garnered a reputation for their frequent public displays of affection.

Affleck and the Bond girl met last year while filming their erotic thriller Deep Water. The Batman star and the Cuban actress reportedly celebrated her 32nd birthday with a weekend road trip to Joshua Tree.

Word is the Good Will Hunting star already introduced Anna to his three kids and his ex-wife, Jennifer Gardner. Violet, 14, Seraphine, 11, and Samuel, eight, have reportedly approved their father’s new girlfriend.

The same goes for Jennifer Gardner, sources said. The former couple split in 2015 after ten years together.

Christine Boldt, Ben Affleck’s mother, was recently photographed stepping off a private jet with her son and Anna. The trio reportedly went on a short vacation to Georgia, along with Affleck’s three kids.

In his recent interviews, the ”Argo” director admitted he aimed to be a ‘more present” father in his kids’ lives, especially after his alcoholism problems.

Affleck highlighted that he has always been open and honest with his children about his issues with alcohol. In his view, children can forgive failings and setbacks if you tell them the truth.

The actor admitted that parenting is often ”trial and error,” but it is essential not to be perfect but to give your best and to try your hardest.

What do you think? Do you support or oppose a potential ban on Ben Affleck to attend the premiere of ”No Time to Die”?
