While their breakup was rather painful for the fans, Ally Brooke now reveals that she found happiness only after Fifth Harmony was no longer! According to the singer, it changed her life for the better and she is now explaining why!

It turns out that her time as part of Fifth Harmony was not the best for Ally Brooke who went as far as to say, during a new interview for HollywoodLife, that after the split, she finally got her ‘light back’ and was able to rekindle her ‘dream’ of being an artist.

When asked if becoming a solo artist brought her happiness Ally did not hesitate to respond: ‘Absolutely, one hundred percent.’

The chat with HollywoodLife was meant to also double as promotion for her new book, appropriately titled ‘Finding Your Harmony.’

Ally found huge success alongside Normani, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and Camila Cabello but what came after the girl group disbanded, helped her ‘have my power back take it all back. Get my light back. Get my voice back.’

She went on to tell the news outlet that ‘Both my singing voice, but also my voice to stand up for who I am and what I believe and what I want and what I’m not comfortable with. I just had a super-power. It totally changed my life when the group disbanded, and I was able to go back to that dream when that 9-year-old girl when something extraordinary happened at that time, and little did I know what lied ahead.’

The singer shared that she was not always comfortable singing some of Fifth Harmony’s lyrics.

Not only that but she admitted that, after Camila left the group, she seriously considered following her footsteps and doing the same.

‘I never wanted to quit necessarily, but a lot of what was going on was super overwhelming and terrible,’ Ally said in part.
