Charlamagne Tha God Admits He May Have Jumped To Conclusions On The Tory Lanez-Megan Thee Stallion Controversy

As most know by now, Tory Lanez dropped his latest album, DAYSTAR, however, many believe he chose to release the new project at the worst time on account of the Breonna Taylor case that just received its verdict the day before.

As it was previously reported, a judge ruled that Daniel Cameron wouldn’t be charged with killing Breonna Taylor. Lanez addressed a number of controversies including the allegations that he shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot, as well as the fact Charlamagne Tha God gave him the “Donkey of the Day” designation on The Breakfast Club.

Even though Tory defended himself, Charlemagne doesn’t seem to be on the rapper’s side, although the host did admit that he may have unfairly jumped to conclusions. During an episode of Brilliant Idiots, Charlamagne claimed that Tory had put himself in a situation to be criticized via his actions.

According to The Breakfast Club co-host, there were a number of websites that said they would never cover anything put out by Tory Lanez ever again due to the incident involving Megan Thee Stallion. Charlamagne says that people are upset with him because they feel as though he’s trying to capitalize on the situation.

Chalamage said succinctly that media outlets believe he’s “profiting off violence towards women.” However, with all that in mind, Charlamagne admitted he may have incorrectly given him the “Donkey of the Day” because he was only hearing one side to the story.

On the other hand, Charlamagne said there was no reason for Megan to lie about something like that. Nobody is concerned with what really happened “when the lie is more entertaining,” Charlamagne remarked.

According to The Breakfast Club co-host, there is obviously more to the situation than most people are aware of, but he’s just going off of what Megan has said. “I don’t see why Megan would have to lie,” Charlamagne added.

Truth or lies, Tory has managed to find himself persona non grata in the rap world for the Megan Thee Stallion controversy. Many social media users have argued that it’s not likely Lanez will be able to bounce back.
