Actor Archie Lyndhurst From So Awkward Passes Away At 19

Archie Lyndhurst, 19, who was known for his role in the show, So Awkward, has died a new report from Fox News revealed today. Reportedly, Archie’s parents were Nicholas Lyndhurst and Lucy Smith.

The CBBC announced the news of his death this weekend and claimed he would be sorely missed by everyone who worked with him during his time on the show. The Lyndhurst family has also provided a statement to the BBC in which they claimed they were “utterly grief-stricken.”

During his time as an actor, Archie also did voice work for the game, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensaward and he also worked alongside Jack Whitehall on the BBC series, Bad Education.

Jack Whitehall praised him in a Twitter post and said that he was one of the most passionate and kind people one could work with. The actor went on to say that had he lived, there was no question Archie would’ve continued to find work and enjoy an illustrious career.

Some of the actor’s co-stars also shouted out to him, including Cleo Demetriou, who claimed she was heartbroken to write the tweet about his passing.

It’s not clear what led to Archie’s death yet. This wouldn’t be the first time that a young star passed away over the last year and a half. Last year, Adam Sandler came out to commemorate the passing of Cameron Boyce, whom he worked with on the set of Grown Ups.

Cameron, the Disney Channel alum, died after suffering from epilepsy. In a statement released by his parents, the family claimed he was the type of person who would never complain about his condition, and he only wanted to do good for the world.

The Chicago Tribune reported at the time of his passing that he died from “natural causes.” He first appeared in a film alongside Kiefer Sutherland, Mirrors, when he was just 9. During his time working with Adam Sandler, Cameron starred in Grown-Ups, the original and the sequel.

However, he first gained recognition for his role as Luke Ross in the Disney Channel show, Jessie.
