Last summer, her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, revealed their plans to pay tribute to their late mom by raising a statue at Kensington Palace on July 1, 2021, marking what would’ve been her 60th birthday.
In a joint statement, they shared that ‘The statue was commissioned to mark the 20th anniversary of her passing and to recognize her positive impact in the UK and all around the world. The Princes hope the statue will help all of those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on their mother’s life and her legacy.’
Fans of the late Princess Diana are also looking forward to seeing her story being told on season four of Netflix’s The Crown, set to debut on November 15.
The one to take on the role of a younger Lady Diana Spencer is Emma Corrin, who will be telling the story of her early relationship with Prince Charles.
