Andrei Arlovski and Tanner Boser are in the co-main event of the UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Teixeira. This is an interesting match because of two reasons. The first is the former UFC heavyweight champion, Arlovski, who, although entered his fifth decade, still competes in the world’s best organization. The second one is Boser, a rising prospect who apparently has some qualities but isn’t tested properly.
UFC Fight Night 181: Uriah Hall vs. Anderson Silva Preview and Pick
Arlovski (+220)
Once a dominant fighter who crossed paths with various champions and big names throughout his career, is now average. Over the recent four bouts, the Pitbull recorded an even record, two wins and losses each, with the note that his previous battle against Philipe Lins ended in his favor via unanimous decision.
Andrei Arlovski holds the record for the most leg kicks landed in UFC Heavyweight history with 248.

Prior to it, Arlovski suffered a loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik via KO after just 29 seconds, which happened to be one of his toughest defeats ever. Right now, the 41-year old wants to erase that shame by winning this event and getting a chance to meet some other high-caliber fighter. The heavyweight division is stuffed with numerous big names, and one of them could be the Pitbull’s final big spectacle.
Boser (-280)
This guy also defeated Philipe Lins, only unlike Arlovski’s decision win, he knocked out the rival in the first round. Less than a month after that, he earned another KO win, this time against Raphael Pessoa. Overall, Boser has been making gigantic steps in the past several months.

After coming to the big league and debuting in the UFC with a win over Daniel Spitz, the Canadian lost to Ciryl Gane via unanimous decision. He received a pretty nasty beating against the French, who is currently one of the hottest rising stars in the UFC.
Boser is a guy who relies upon his punching and avoids going down to the canvas. On the other side, he learned a lot since coming to the UFC, and we just might see some improvement in that area as well.

Pick
Arlovski still has solid stamina and often reaches the final horn standing in the octagon. Boser, too sees the decisions often enough, and from this standpoint, this fight has superb chances of going to the distance. Neither of these guys looks able to finish the other one, which is the main reason why we predict all five rounds.
