Nowadays, the platform of streaming is filled with hundreds of talented entertainers that use their platform to bring smiles and excitement to their fan base. Whether it’s esports, entertainment, or just messing around, streaming has become one of the more prolific platforms nowadays.
We’ve discussed a particular streamer, DesMephisto, a few times here at HappyGamer. It’s hard to pick which category to put this talented man in – streamer, power leveler, Warrior leveler extraordinaire, the list goes on and on.

One of the things that DesMephisto has become most well-known for is his work as a mental health advocate. Living with autism himself, DesMephisto works to bring greater representation and awareness to the autistic community.
Working primarily with World of Warcraft, DesMephisto has raised tens of thousands of dollars for charity, with a large portion going towards the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network. DesMephisto also has the accolade of being the first Autistic Twitch Partner in World of Warcraft.

With all that said, it’s easy to see what makes the streamer such a popular and important figure, as his work goes beyond simple entertainment and into fighting for rights and representation for mental health awareness.

Out of his thousands of fans, one thing has become clear – Blizzard is certainly a fan of DesMephisto’s as well!
In a recent beta release for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Blizzard released a sizeable number of bind-on-equip epic items for players to earn in the upcoming expansion. Among these, an item named for DesMephisto was released.
The gloves can be seen above, titled Desm’s Fistos in obvious reference. While it’s unclear how well the item might be for endgame play, given that we don’t quite know the way the meta or stats will shape up through 9.0, their status as a bind-on-equip will likely make them popular.
Blizzard was also careful to make sure that the item they dedicated to DesMephisto was usable by warriors, as the streamer has the accomplishment to his name of leveling a warrior to max level of every race and gender combination.
This is far from the first time a popular figure has been placed into the game with something to honor them, and it’s always a fantastic and heartwarming way to see Blizzard interacting with their audience in a way that makes it clear how thoroughly these players make shockwaves throughout the game.
