Nintendo dropped a surprise Mini Direct today where it confirmed cloud versions of both Control and Hitman 3 are arriving on Nintendo Switch. The company also confirmed some good news and bad news about Bravely Default 2. The good news is that we have a brand new trailer. The bad news is that Bravely Default 2 has been delayed until February of next year.
“We originally announced that [Bravely Default] II would release in 2020, but more development time is necessary to ensure this RPG experience is the best it can be,” Nintendo tweeted out following the Mini Direct. “Thank you for your patience, and we hope you look forward to setting out on your search for the crystals on 2/26.”

Bravely Default 2 is a highly anticipated sequel and while a delay is disappointing, these decisions are not made lightly and bode well for the quality of each title when they do finally launch.
