Justin Bieber Drops New Music Video For ‘Lonely’ Which Touches On His Struggle As A Child Star

Justin Bieber recently dropped a brand new music video for the song, “Lonely,” and the 26-year-old reflected on his rise to the top amid his career as a performing artist. Fans of Bieber know he hasn’t always been on solid ground.

For instance, during the start of his career, Bieber was in the headlines for his trouble with the law, and the public wasn’t always forgiving of him. In the new video, the 26-year-old reflected on what it was like to experience the world as a child star. It dropped on Friday.

Thus far, the video clip has already garnered 2.3 million views, and it’s likely to continue building in traffic over the coming hours and days. Justin’s single features the 14-year-old, Jacob Tremblay, who portrays the artist when he was a much younger child.

According to the New York Post, the video starts with Tremblay looking very alone and isolated in a dressing room. He’s then called to get on the stage while mouthing the words, “I’m so lonely.”

The Post claims Justin’s lyrics go on to touch on what it was like for him to be famous as a young child, for instance, he says in the track that everyone saw him at his lowest point, and it felt like “no one gave a s**t.”

On his Twitter account, Bieber described Tremblay as “so talented,” and added that it was challenging to watch someone starring as him in the video. Justin said it made him feel vulnerable. Even to this day, it’s challenging to re-watch the video because the content of the song comes from a tough time in his life, the singer remarked.

Bieber added that he believes there is power in “vulnerability,” and that’s why the song is as good as it is. As it was previously reported, the singer has been very busy over the past few months, including his recent collaboration with Crocs.

Additionally, he and his wife, Hailey Baldwin, appeared on the Italian version of Vogue. Justin also dropped his latest record this year, Changes, shortly before he had to cancel his world tour due to the coronavirus.
