This year, a new RPG with a soccer theme will be released. Real-time soccer matches and turn-based combat are features of the open-world game Soccer Story. The best part is that you may download it via the Game Pass when it becomes available.
You’ll battle creatures and solve overworld riddles using a mystical soccer ball. You’ll need to raise your speed, shooting, energy, and strength stats even though the ball seems to have a lot of power. Soccer was outlawed worldwide by a villainous corporation in the main plot. You must bring soccer back from the dead as the Savior of Soccer. There are more than 15 hours of action to play through, but local multiplayer allows you to play with up to 3 additional friends.
A soccer game wouldn’t be a game without the ability to participate in real-time matches, despite the global ban on soccer. The creators aren’t satisfied with adhering to social norms or real-world restrictions. Soccer games will let you destroy sharks, ninjas, the elderly, and young children.
Indie sports role-playing games appear to be in vogue. The creators of Golf Story did not work on Soccer Story, although there are clear parallels between the two games pixel art aesthetics and ball-based puzzle gameplay. Perhaps more studios will soon release basketball or baseball role-playing games.
Even though a precise release date has not yet been set, you can register for the Steam beta on their website. Then, the game will debut on PC, PlayStation, Game Pass, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
A single-player campaign and a local-multiplayer mode with a roster of teams and animal captains will be available in Soccer Story. In addition to Stadia and Game Pass, Soccer Story will be available on PC in the usual ways.
