Yesterday, Vanessa Bryant marked the 21st anniversary of her and Kobe’s first time meeting! While the milestone, unfortunately, had to be marked without the late basketball star, the widow still celebrated and honoured her husband.
Vanessa Bryant took to her go-to social media platform to share a sweet throwback pic of her and the NBA legend hugging while at Disneyland last year.
In the caption, she wrote: ‘Love at first sight 11/27/99 #21,’ marking the exact day they met.
As fans know, in 2001, she and Kobe tied the knot and went on to have four daughters together – Natalia, 17, Gianna, 13, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 1.

Tragically enough, the secondborn, Gianna, died in the same helicopter crash that took her father’s life as well as 7 other people’s who were on board back in January.
This post comes after, last year, Kobe himself also looked back at the day he met his wife and ‘best friend.’
The basketball star posted the same Disneyland pic as well as another throwback photo and wrote alongside them: ‘On this day 20 years ago I met my best friend, Queen @vanessabryant. I decided to take her on a date to Disneyland to celebrate old school style (pre 4 princesses) I love you my mamacita per sempre.’

Ever since her husband and her daughter’s deaths, Vanessa has been celebrating their memories every chance she gets and in all kinds of ways.
For instance, just last month, she got the names of Kobe and their four daughters tattooed on her foot, along with her own name!
Furthermore, her close friend, La La Anthony also chatted with ET about being by Vanessa’s side following the terrible loss.
‘Well, you know, I am a real friend, that is what friends do. You know, you do not dip out on your friends when it gets hard. And she is going through something unimaginable, that I can’t even fathom. So, just to be a friend and to be there to make her laugh when she needs to, cry when she needs to, is just a beautiful thing. But that is what friends do for each other, so I am always going to be there for her and the girls and want to see her continue to be so strong and amazing,’ La La told the news outlet.
