Tory Lanez Addresses New Charges Following Megan Thee Stallion Shooting

Page Six picked up on a tweet from Tory Lanez this week after he was charged with new crimes in the shooting case involving himself and Megan Thee Stallion. The rapper took to his Twitter account to say that the “truth” would come out in the trial after he was accused of shooting Megan in the feet as she was exiting his SUV.

This afternoon, the rapper wrote on his account that he trusted in God to bring the truth forward. He said the truth would “come to light,” and he had faith in God to make sure that the world comes to the appropriate conclusion in the aftermath of what happened between him and Megan.

Lanez, the 28-year-old Toronto rapper, reminded his fans that if they supported him through the controversy, he genuinely appreciated them. As it was previously reported, Lanez was slapped with more charges on Thursday.

Yesterday, the LA District Attorney’s Office revealed they had laid more charges against Tory, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, including one count each of assault with a firearm and carrying an unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

Thus far, the 25-year-old “WAP” rapper hasn’t commented on the new charges but she has been on the receiving end of massive public and celebrity support ever since the story first came out in the middle of the summer.

While Megan hasn’t commented publicly since the new charges were revealed, Megan has been active on social media about what happened. For instance, earlier this year, the rapper took to her account to say that it was Tory who shot her.

Back in August, Stallion said “this n*gga Tory shot me,” before going on to say that he got his publicist and other people to lie about the incident to try and make her look bad. She asked him why he kept on lying about it and wouldn’t just face the truth.

Furthermore, Megan shared photographs of the stitches being removed from her feet. On his latest record, titled, DAYSTAR, Tory addressed the claims, asking how Megan managed to get shot in the foot without hitting any bones or tendons.

Others have accused Tory of trying to capitalize on the incident by releasing an album on Soundcloud, despite the fact the record was made available for free.
