Teyana Taylor just released an album and it sounds like it might just be her goodbye project! The star announced that she is ready to put an end to her music career after being mistreated and overlooked in the industry for so long.

Taylor’s fans got quite the shock when stumbling upon her latest post, in which she thanked them for helping her achieve some milestones but also announced she was closing this chapter in her life!

In fact, the message she published on her IG account started on a positive note, giving her fans credit and thanking them for her success, before going to reveal she was giving up on music after a disappointing experience working in this field.

She admitted that ‘I ain’t gonna front in times of feeling super underappreciated as an artist, receiving little to no actual push from the ‘machine,’ constantly just getting the shorter end of the stick, being overlooked, and it goes on and on lol..’

Teyana went on to then announce that ‘I’m retiring this chapter of my life with the comfort that I can depart with peace of mind seeing all the hard work [and] passion put in was indeed loved and so supported somewhere in the world! To all of my supporters from day 1 and all my new ones I love you, and thank you for everything [and] do not worry y’all know [Heart emoji] all hustlers have the understanding that when one door closes another opens…either that or I am pickin’ da locks petunia!!! So wassup.’

This comes about six months after she released ‘The Album,’ a project containing six tracks.
