However, there are a lot of controversies about that play. At first, the officials threw a flag suggesting that there was a passing interference by Buccaneers’ safety Antoine Winfield Jr., on Giants RB Dion Lewis.

After a short conversation between all the refs, they picked up the flag, which was a sign for Tampa Bay’s players to start celebrating their Monday Night Football victory.
The Buccs were down 14-3 with 1:46 until halftime, when Wayne Gallman rushed for two yards, and looked helpless against the Giants. However, they would come back with Ryan Succop’s two consecutive field goals, 40 and 43 yards respectively, and with Rob Gronkowski’s three-yard catch midway through the third. From that moment on, the two went back and forth, with Daniel Jones’ mistakes making a difference.
The biggest of them all was an interception at 12:12 to go, when Sean Murphy-Bunting picked up his pass, giving Tom Brady the football, and setting up a drive that resulted in a touchdown. It was 25-17 for the Bucs when Succop added one more field goal with 3:41 left, and the Giants had to score a TD and make a two-point conversion to tie the game.
A touchdown was delivered with 28 seconds to go, when Golden Tate caught a 19-yard pass in the endzone, but the two-point conversion ended controversially and without points for the hosts.
Daniel Jones had 256 yards, tossed, for two TD passes and two interceptions, suffering three sacks. Dion Lewis and Golden Tate were his targets for scores, and Gallman added one TD as well, only on the ground.
Tom Brady ended the night with 279 yards, two touchdown tosses, and without turnovers. Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski caught a TD pass each, and Succop did the rest with his field goals.
His Bucs (6-2) host the Saints, in the key matchup for the no.1 place in the NFC South division, and after that, travel to Charlotte to face the Carolina Panthers one week later.
The Giants (1-7) also have two divisional matchups coming their way, with the Washington Football Team on the road next Sunday, and with the Eagles at home a week after.
