Sofia Richie came forward this week to defend Olivia Jade Giannulli after she appeared on Red Table Talk to talk about what her parents did to get her into the University of Southern California. This Tuesday, Jada shared a clip from Olivia’s Red Table Talk appearence in which they discussed the controversy surrounding her parents’ questionable actions.
On IG, the clip made it to Sofia Richie, who praised and supported Olivia in the comment section. The 22-year-old wrote, “yes girl!! can’t wait for what’s ahead.” Obviously, this didn’t go down well with many of Olivia Jade’s haters who are still mad at her for what her parents did.

Sofia Richie came under fire from one IG user who said it was just another example of a privileged person supporting another, and Sofia responded by claiming that life was too brief for people to wish ill on others, more importantly, she said everyone makes mistakes.
Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Jada Pinkett’s mother, made it clear that she didn’t want to have Olivia Jade on the show. She claimed she fought it as much as she could because she didn’t want to have Jade there. The star says she found it ironic how 3 African American women had to reach out to her to offer a platform for Olivia to redeem herself.
During her appearence on Red Table Talk, Giannulli fessed up for what she and her parents did. In case you missed it, Lori and Mossimo went to prison earlier in the year for the allegations after months of fighting in the courts.
Mossimo and Lori originally tried to fight the charges with the defense that they didn’t know they were offering bribe money to William “Rick” Singer, however, the system wasn’t buying it.

Amid the coronavirus lockdowns, Lori and Mossimo pled guilty to the charges and it was revealed they would both spend a small amount of time behind bars.
Mossimo would serve around twice as much time as Lori, and also pay a much larger fine and do more community service hours as well. The decision sparked outrage among some people in the entertainment industry who thought the sentences would’ve been far more severe had they been black.
