Shia LaBeouf Under Fire From FKA Twigs – Shia Admits To A Habit Of Hurting People Close To Him

While he has certainly had a successful career in the entertainment industry, Shia LaBeouf has struggled on and off the screen in a number of ways, including his battle with alcohol addiction and his various controversies.

Now, the Nymphomaniac Vol. 2 alum has found himself in the headlines regarding his relationship with FKA Twigs, who has accused him of being violent.

On her Twitter on Friday night, Twigs accused Shia of being abusive, saying how he was both “emotionally and physically abusive” during their romance. You can check out one of these tweets below:

Reportedly, Twigs and LaBeouf dated for nearly one year after they first met back in 2018. The artist shared how she felt the need to come out with her story because it was a very tough time for other victims of abuse, especially those who are currently living with their abuser.

According to multiple reports, incidents of domestic violence have increased significantly in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus lockdowns, which put many people out of work or forced them into an already precarious situation in their homes.

The New York Times was the first to report on Friday that Twigs put LaBeouf on blast for infliction of emotional distress, assault, and sexual battery. LaBeouf wrote in an email to the popular news outlet that he wasn’t “in any position” to tell others how they have felt about his behavior.

Shia went on to write in his email that he had been “abusive” to himself and everyone around him for a long time. He wasn’t going to make any excuses, or rationalizations, before going on to say that he had a reputation for hurting those closest to him.

Another one of the actor’s ex-girlfriends, Karolyn Pho, said Shia was abusive to her as well, and Shia wrote to The Times that many of her claims weren’t true, but he wanted to own up to the ones that were.

As it was previously reported, Shia struggled with alcoholism for years until he was charged with a number of crimes, admitted to rehab, and then came out on top.
