Rita Ora threw a birthday party of 30 people despite the lockdown rules in London, U.K., and now, she released a public apology! Here’s what she had to say!
As fans may know, the singer just turned 30 years old and she did not let the COVID-19 pandemic stop her from throwing a relatively big bash despite it being against the law and putting people in danger.
Apparently, the celebration took place at Notting Hill restaurant and Rita Ora even had to pay a fine for ignoring the COVID-19 safety guidelines!
After all, at this point in time, London prohibits people from gathering with anyone outside their households and also prevents any establishments from opening, except for takeout!

Now, the star took to her social media to express regret over the ‘spur of the moment’ party.
She wrote on her IG Stories that ‘Hello all, I attended a small gathering with some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was a spur of the moment decision I made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and it would be OK. I am deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand this puts people at risk.’
As per The Daily Mail, Rita Ora has already paid the $13,333 fine she received for this offence.

‘This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgement. Given the restrictions, I realize how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility,’ she went on to say before making reference to her own mother helping on the front lines amid the pandemic.
‘I feel particularly embarrassed knowing first-hard how hard people have worked to combat this terrible illness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to help keep up safe. Even though this won’t make it right, I want to sincerely apologize.’
