Tory Lanez’s decision to defend himself in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting drew the attention of many singers, including Rick Ross. The 44-year-old rapper said that Tory Lanez took a “poor decision” when he decided to drop his album. On September 25, Rick Ross took to Instagram Stories and directed his message towards Tory:
“This is out of respect for Breonna Taylor, just out of respect for Breonna Taylor, brother. You gotta respect these sisters. That ain’t how you address the accusations. That was a poor choice, homie. You ain’t get no money off that s**t.”
Lanez acknowledged the mention and tweeted a message, tagging Rick Ross. He also pointed out the fellow singer took “a poor decision”:
“I respect u 2 much as a black man to disrespect you in these times, however I went out and marched 9 DAYS STRAIT for Breonna Taylor ..IN YOUR CITY …I didn’t see the “boss” out there once ?…also stop tagging your endorsements in post about her . It’s a poor decision”
Of course, Rozay responded to that message and called Tory a “little boy.” In a video, Rick Ross told Lanez to “boss up.” Here’s the excerpt of his message, along with the video.
“First off, little boy, I appreciate how you responded swiftly to Rozay. That’s how you should have did the sister that accused you of shooting her. That’s what you owe her family. That’s what you owed all the Black women in the world.”
“More importantly, let’s get to you protesting. You ain’t protest in Miami. Only reason you was out there is ’cause the condo that you stay in for $1,500 a month, damn protests was coming right down there so you went down and took a photo op. That’s cool.
A ‘poor decision’ is putting together an album and trying to profit off some sh*t. People like myself was [waiting] for you to address this sh*t and move on. Not get a wack song of a wack album that ain’t gon’ get you no money nor no new supporters. So little boy, boss up.”
Earlier this week, Tory Lanez broke the silence. He shared his part of the story in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting through his song “Money Over Fallout.”
Part of the lyrics specifically revealed that he was being framed for the shooting by Megan’s team. This is the first time Lanez has addressed this incident publicly.
