Gizelle Bryant can finally speak up about the fight that took place between Monique and Candiace. She said that the Season 5 fight scarred her and she’s suffering from ‘PTSD.’
The ‘RHOP’ star is getting ready for her late-night talk show on Bravo today and she’s ready to talk more about the fight between the two housewives. In an interview with HollywoodLife, Gizelle said she’s been very bothered about the fight between Monique And Candiace.
“In the moment, [I was] super upset, and bothered for a while for days. I think we all kind of had PTSD from it just for a while,” said Gizelle.
Part of the fight was seen on September 20 and it will continue in tonight’s episode. “I didn’t find myself having to quote unquote pick a side, [though]. I think that it’s silly [to do that]. I’m team Gizelle for life and I’m team the show,” revealed the star.

“My position was, ‘What are we doing and is it what’s best for the show?’, and the answer is no and we have this beautiful platform and it’s our responsibility to protect it,” added Gizelle.
The star explained that she believes these kinds of incidents are wrong: “so if we’re doing things that make us look like we’re in a stereotypical box about black women, then I don’t think it’s good for the show, so that’s where I kind of landed on the incident. It is wrong and we’ll see how it plays out.”
Bravo has dragged Monique And Candiace’s fight ever since the season started and it finally aired at the end of last week’s episode, only to cut to a “to be a continued” message. Now, we’ll see the whole scene.
Gizelle will surely address this problem on her new talk show Bravo’s Chat Room, which she is co-hosting with RHOA’s Porsha Williams, Kate Chastain, and Hannah Berner. Who forgot to congratulate Gizelle on her new show? Here’s what she told HollywoodLife:
Laughing, Gizelle said “Karen Huger‘s a hater,” explaining that “[She] has not reached out to me in any way, shape or form.” The two haven’t kept in touch since Season 5 filming stopped.
“But I have heard from all of the other ladies — except for Monique, of course. She doesn’t really count, but I have heard from everybody else and they’re super excited for me and they want me to represent them well.”
