George has long been recognized for his charitable contributions and People is recognizing him for his monetary contributions that he made this year. Without generating a lot of fanfare, George Clooney donated $1 million to fight COVID-19, $500,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative, and to causes such as Lebanese charities.
