Rapper Jim Jones Reveals Why He Thinks A Dipset Verzuz G-Unit Battle Will Never Happen

Earlier this year, Gucci Mane and Jeezy appeared on Verzuz in what was one of the most talked-about hip-hop events in 2020. The pair of rappers took the stage and rapped some of their biggest hits, and it seemed like there was going to be a problem at first, but it wound up working out just fine in the end.

The Verzuz battle sparked others to wonder if it was possible for it to provide a platform for others to squash their hip-hop beef. Hot New Hip Hop says 50 Cent and Jim Jones aren’t best friends these days, and they haven’t been for a long, long time. The outlet claims the pair of men have been fighting for what seems like forever, and they even exchanged some words for each other in 2020.

According to Jones, a Verzuz battle would never work because there is “no camaraderie” between them. The New Yorker joked that maybe it would look like listening to “20 50 Cent records.”

Later, Gucci took to his social media to explain why he did it. The rapper claimed he did it for the “culture.” Another Verzuz battle to be in the headlines was the one between Rick Ross and 2 Chainz, which was criticized for being “low energy.”

2 Chains later addressed this by claiming it was simply two rappers celebrating their hits together, and neither of them wanted to outshine each other.
