As you might know, this will be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s very first Christmas ever since they left the Royal Family and moved to California along with their baby boy, Archie Harrison! That being said, one insider tells HollywoodLife why they are so excited about this first holiday in their new home and shares their celebration plans!
This year, the famous couple is playing it all safe since the world is still dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic but that is not to say that they don’t have the Christmas spirit nevertheless!
That being said, they are not going to fly back to England to be with his family during this time but they are definitely going to still enjoy a lot of traditions in their new Montecito mansion!
The insider dished that ‘Meghan and Harry are looking forward to their very first Christmas in their new house. It is a big change for Harry because he is used to a cold Christmas. But, apparently, he is quite looking forward to making some new traditions.’
They also dished that, while far away from them, Harry and Meghan will still remain connected with the family back in the U.K. via video chats.
‘If things were different, they would’ve travelled back to the U.K. to spend time with his family and his friends, but it is just not in the cards this year so they are going to make do with video chats, just like many other families will.’

Thankfully for them, they will have Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, by their side this holidays season, as well as their 1 year old son, of course!
In fact, the source stressed that the main silver lining of this whole thing is that they get to totally relax and focus on their child this Christmas.
Not to mention that he is now a toddler so he is very aware of what is going on – which is going to make the holiday really fun for him and his parents, of course!
