Mindy Kaling is celebrating her new essay series that is available on Amazon with a watermelon-colored stripes and sequins outfit. The 41-year-old mother of two surprised everyone when she appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and revealed she gave birth to her second child, Spencer, on September 3, 2020. Mindy never let the public know that she was pregnant, had given birth, or was in post-partum. Mindy’s baby is only two-months-old and she looks absolutely fabulous and doesn’t even have a trace of her former baby bump!
In the photo that Mindy Kaling shared with her 5.6 million Instagram followers, Mindy wore a dress from J Crew. The dress is called the Short-Sleeve Sequin Dress in Watermelon Stripe and it retails for approximately $228. The dress features a glossy sheen as the entire dress is covered in sequins giving it a near liquid appearance.
Mindy wore the dress and posed for a photo in her yard, with a lush green backdrop of leaf-covered trees and bushes.
Mindy chose a light green, glossy purse from Chanel called the Wallet On Chain Leather Crossbody Bag. The purse was in line with her outfit due to its sheen and blended well with the watermelon print. It retails for approximately $1900.
Mindy looked beautiful as she wore her long, dark hair parted on the side and in soft waves. She wore pink and white, teardrop earrings from Kate Spade and chose a soft mauve lipstick. Her shoes were a bright pink that matched the watermelon stripes on her sequin dress. Mindy shared the following caption as she announced her essay release.
