Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Gush Over Being ‘Fortunate’ To Witness Their Son’s First Steps!

They grow up so fast! It turns out that 1 year old Archie Harrison has already taken his first steps and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were ‘fortunate’ enough to witness it since they have been spending so much time at home with him amid the pandemic. This is what the happy parents revealed during a new virtual interview with Malala Yousafzai.

The chat with the activist was meant to mark International Day of the Girl on October 11 but, of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle talked about their personal life as a family of three as well.

When asked about their time in quarantine, Meghan revealed that ‘We both were there for his first steps. His first run, first fall, first everything…special moments. It’s just so fantastic — in so many ways we’re fortunate to be able to have time to watch him grow, and in the absence of COVID-19, we would be traveling and working more. We would miss a lot of those moments. To be able to raise our son in a way where everything about his nourishment is about educational substance and how he can learn, how he can grow.’

Earlier during the same interview, which was meant to focus more on the importance of access to education for women, the former Suits actress also mentioned: ‘When young girls have access to education everyone wins and everyone succeeds. It just opens the door for societal success at the highest level. It’s not just robbing a society of the cultural richness that comes with educating young girls…It’s also robbing these young girls of childhood.’

Of course, Prince Harry also shared his own thoughts on the current state of the world, noting that it’s been a challenging time for everyone.

He acknowledged that, the longer it goes on, the more it affects people, especially when it comes to everyone’s mental health.

At the same time, however, he argued that, as much as it’s been a ‘traumatic experience,’ it is also a ‘unifying’ one for everyone all around the world.
