Matthew Perry Reportedly Paid His Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend To Get Him Drugs

A new report from The Sun featured an interview from Kayti Edwards, the former girlfriend of Matthew Perry, who reflected on her time dating the Friends alum approximately ten years ago at the height of his terrible drug addiction. Page Six picked up on the chat this week in which she claimed Matthew had once sent her to get cocaine, heroin, and crack.

She claims the actor told her not to worry about getting in trouble for the drugs because no one would ever expect a “pregnant girl.” According to Edwards, she and Matthew dated in the 2000s but it was in 2011 when Matthew was really struggling.

Edwards explained how she was 5 months pregnant at the time and she wound up “getting stuff for him.” She was a bit concerned about getting caught by the police, but he assured her that being pregnant was an effective shield from apprehension.

She went on to say that when it came to Perry, you never knew what he was going to get. She’d open the bag after having retrieved it and it was filled with cocaine, pills, crack, heroin, or anything else. Edwards described it as a “smorgasbord.”

According to Edwards, her main goal back in those days was to help Matthew and stop him from “wandering around the streets” on his own or getting busted by the authorities or photographed by the paparazzi.

Edwards went on to say that she realized maybe she wasn’t the best friend, but her goal was to help at the time, and she thought it was the best way to do it.

Additionally, Edwards explained how her relationship with Matthew had become so toxic. He paid her to get him drugs, which made their situation even more bizarre. “I was making all this money,” she said to the outlet.

Kayti said that sometimes she would make between $3,000 and $4,000 per day. “Money is no object,” Matthew said to her. As most know, Matthew had a very successful career on Friends, which has gone down in history as one of the most iconic series of all time.

More importantly, the show has gone into syndication, which means all of those involved in the series continue to make money long after it ended.
