Kourtney Kardashian is under fire for promoting a conspiracy theory that falsely portrays face masks as containing cancer-causing ingredients or carcinogens. Disposable blue face masks have been used in hospitals and medical facilities since the sixties and though designs may change or improve, claims that disposable face masks cause cancer are unfounded Some are accusing Kourtney of spreading misinformation that is dangerous to the population during the Coronavirus pandemic. Kourtney made the comments via her Instagram stories on Saturday, in her Instagram stories. Kourtney has 102 million Instagram followers and new of her face mask post began to make headlines.
Ironically, Kourtney made the post after it was revealed that Khloe Kardashian contracted Coronavirus, and Kendall Jenner would be shamed for throwing a Halloween/birthday party with more than 100 guests — many of who were maskless.

The 41-year-old mother of three stated in the Instagram post that disposable face masks contain PTFE ‘a carcinogen made from synthetic flouride.’ She continued to state the following.
According to Cancer.org it increases the risk of liver, testicle, pancrease, keindey & breast tumors + ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, preeclampsia and high cholesterol. High exposure can cause influena-like symptoms and hemorrhaging in the lungs, leading to suffocation.

Cancer.Org is the web address for the American Cancer Society — essentially, Kourtney Kardashian attributed research on PTFE to the America Cancer Society and used it to back up the conspiracy theory that disposable face masks cause cancer.
The American Cancer Society has never stated as such.

The offical Cancer.Org site hasn’t responded to Kourtney Kardashian’s comments, but they previously addressed whether or not the public should wear face masks. At no time has Cancer.Org ever suggested people should not wear cloth masks or disposable face masks.
