She seems to be feeling a bit more comfortable four years later because she recently showed off an incredible 27 carat, black opal necklace for a KKW Beauty promotion. Though the necklace’s gemstone appears green, it is a black opal as this is the term that is used for opals of several, darker hues. The amazing necklace is from Kim’s close friend, Lorraine Shwartz who has created numerous pieces for celebrities ranging from Beyonce and Kim Kardashian to Mariah Carey.
Fans were surprised to see Kim wearing the jewelry and she looked absolutely stunning. Not only is the black opal a whopping 37 carats, but the diamond that sits right above the opal is pear-shaped and 40 carats. The jewelry was absolutely gorgeous on the beautiful forty-year-old mother of four. Kim wore the jewelry to announce a contest that she ran shortly before Halloween.

It’s possible that Kim’s recent settling with her former bodyguard may have something to do with why she’s wearing her lavish jewels on social media again.
Kim had sued her former bodyguard Pascal Duvier of Protect Security as well as Balali Investments for $6.1 million after she was violently held against her will, bound, and tied while five men robbed her at gunpoiont. Now that she has settled, and is wearing jewels on social media, it seems she is putting the terrible incident behind her and moving forward in life.
