The KUWTK star Kim Kardashian planned a dreamy party on a private island for her 40th birthday. But considering the current coronavirus pandemic, the KKW Beauty founder faced backlash on Twitter after sharing some photos from her party.
At the party, there were friends and family, including Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Scott Disick, La La Anthony, and Tristan Thompson.
Kim wrote on her Instagram and Twitter account the same message for these photos, trying to be mindful about the current situation. However, it all backfired!
“After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.”

The birthday girl didn’t see all the backlash and epic memes coming her way soon after posting this message. She added a few more details, recognizing that she was privileged:
“We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40”

Without even thinking about the memes Kim was about to start, Twitter delivered. Some Twitter users responded to Kim’s post by adding the same message she wrote, but replacing the photos.
Others shared photos from “Jurassic Park”, from the disastrous Fyre Festival, from “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer,” and from the “Scary Island” episode from “The Real Housewives of New York City.”

Others were mad at the Tweet Kim posted. They too decided to reveal some details about their personal lives:
“I haven’t seen ma family in 4 months because I work a public-facing job and I’m absolutely terrified of the possibility of passing Covid on to my vulnerable parents. I hope you had fun pretending things were normal, but spare a thought for those of us staying in the real world,” wrote someone to Kim.
“Lmao reading this as half of my office got laid off today,” said someone else, while another one joked that “everyone mad at this tweet is just jealous that they didn’t think to fly their jets to their own private islands. it’s so obvious yet kim is the only one who thought to do it. that’s why she’s a visionary and y’all are stuck at work 💅.”
After her party, a source closed to the Kardashians told HollywoodLife that the “relaxing getaway” would help Kim get back to work. The source said Kim plans to center her work around making changes to the laws, adding that “this decade will be all about creating her legacy.”
