After being hospitalized with a really bad case of COVID-19 back in November, it looks like Jeremih has been allowed to leave the hospital where he was treated and fought for his life! The artist’s condition was so bad that he previously had to be put on a breathing ventilator!

After spending a month in the hospital, a hopeful video taken by his mom was shared with the world.

It shows Jeremih slowly walking out the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago while wearing a mask and while it appears like he is still rather weak, his proud mom mentioned that walking is actually a really big accomplishment for her son after his really bad case of COVID-19.

In a statement shared via E! News by his family in his name, the star said: ‘First and foremost I’d like to thank God and the unbelievable team of doctors and nurses at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I’ll be forever grateful. I’d also like to thank my family and friends for all of their prayers and wishes. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. A special thanks to Chance The Rapper, to 50 Cent, and Diddy for their love and support.’

He went on to also acknowledge his fans’ prayers and well wishes all over the world, showing his gratitude towards them too, before adding: ‘I’m getting stronger every day, and look forward to spending time with my sons.’

When the news of his terrible experience with the COVID-19 virus first came out, his family released another statement in which it was mentioned that his symptoms being so bad was rare for a young man with no underlying conditions.

They also used this opportunity to remind people who might still have doubts, that the virus that’s taken over the world is ‘real’ and ‘not to be taken lightly.’

‘Also, It’s important for people infected to quarantine and let their families and friends know ASAP. There’s no shame in contracting COVID-19, and people that have it need to be responsible and considerate of others,’ the message went on to say.
