Jamie Spears ‘s conservatorship of his superstar daughter Britney was the subject of much controversy during the past few years as Britney fought a long and hard legal battle to cut herself loose from the imprisoning legal situation with her dad and her Family. But it seems even after the entire matter is done and dusted in court, Jamie Spears still hasn’t had enough. According to the latest reports, Jamie has decided to go back to court for another legal battle against his daughter, accusing her of running a social media smear campaign against him.
Alex Weingarten, Jamie’s attorney, clearly stated the case Jamie is making in the filing, saying Britney “continues to make public social media posts containing incendiary allegations of various factual matters.”
Jamie and his legal team are requesting that Britney appears for a deposition because they are refuting her claims regarding specific events such as being forced to give 8 gallons of blood every week for medical treatments and being forced to participate in years of therapy against her own will.
Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, had much to say in return about the latest legal steps taken by Jamie Spears. The exact statement by Mr. Rosengart is as follows:
“Mr. Spears, who was ignominiously suspended by the Court in September, continues to disgrace himself, especially through this most-recent foolish and ill-advised filing, which is riddled with errors and falsehoods, as he himself knows.”
“In addition to trying to bully his own daughter, he is now pathetically reduced to trying to intimidate her, while abusing the legal process and running and hiding from his own deposition. Anyone else would be ashamed of these tactics, but he and his representatives are truly shameless. In terms of ‘impugning his character,’ Mr. Spears did that to himself long ago.”
Britney has indeed made the allegations on her Instagram where she talked about being forced to give blood and attend therapy. Britney has also talked about how her father and her family refused to let her access pain meds even in cases of dire need such as when she was struggling with high fever and headache.
