An iCarly revival is underway and at least three original cast members, Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor, are returning. The show will stream on the upcoming Paramount + streaming app that is currently the CBS All Access app. CBS All Access will be rebranded at the beginning of 2021, and with the rebrand comes new programming. News that the Paramount + streaming app will have the iCarly revival went viral and now fans are hoping that other cast members, including Jeanette McCurdy and Noah Munck will return.
What the revival’s plot will be for iCarly’s upcoming return hasn’t been revealed. Jerry Trainor, who played Megan’s older brother, Spencer Shay, and her legal guardian is now 43-years-old. Miranda Cosgrove, who played Carly Shay, is now 27-year-old. Nathan Kress, who played Freddie Benson is currently 28-years-old.

Dan Schneider created the original program for Nickelodeon, but it doesn’t appear that he will be connected to the new Paramount + series. According to recent reports, Ali Schouten and Jay Kogen are on board.
ViacomCBS, which owns the CBS All Streaming platform owns multiple networks including CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and Paramount Pictures ensuring that the new streaming app will have plenty of content. It also means that ViacomCBS has a slew of content they can choose to revive or reboot.
Other programs Paramount + plans to bring back include The Game, The Offer, and the movie Flashback will be developed into a series.

Between Showtime and CBS All Streaming, Viacom is seeing great numbers and expects there will be increased demand with the new programming. CBS Access subscriptions cost approximately $6 per month with ads and $10 per month and those prices won’t change when the platform rebrands to Paramount +.
