Hillsong Pastor Carl Lentz Is Reportedly Negotiating A Big Severance Package Following His Firing

In a recently released recording, a private conversation can be heard in which the Hillsong church founder, Brian Houston, discusses Lentz’s severance package and more details on his affairs. In case you missed it, Justin Bieber’s confidante and pastor was fired last month after it was revealed that he had cheated on his wife more than once.

Ranin Karim, 34, a designer from New York City, claimed she had started sleeping with Carl last summer and they continued dating for months, even though Carl has a wife and three kids. Ranim described Lentz as a “drug” to her.

According to Page Six, the recording features the Hillsong founder and other top executives explaining how Carl had “more than one affair.” Reportedly, a staff member of Hillsong saw a chain of text messages on his laptop, which brought everyone in the top-brass to the position they’re in now, notably, in the process for Carl’s firing.

Houston also explained in the recording that it was challenging to talk to Lentz because he always got defensive whenever someone talked to him about an alleged transgression. Houston says Carl acted “as though they were the ones with the problem.”

One of the Hillsong directors, George Aghajanian, claimed they were “working on a severance package” for Mr. Lentz, however, the details of this package weren’t revealed. As most know, Lentz, 42, was very close to Justin and his wife, Hailey Baldwin.

Bieber had said in the past that Carl was instrumental in helping him get over his problems with fame, substance abuse issues, and depression. Moreover, Lentz was actually the one who baptized Bieber in a bathtub and lived with him as a “personal spiritual advisor.”

Even though Carl helped the pop star get over some of his personal demons, it apparently wasn’t enough to keep their relationship intact. According to reports, Bieber already ended his relationship with Lentz back in 2019, and since then, both parties, he and his wife, Hailey, have unfollowed the former Hillsong pastor on IG.

Reportedly, approximately 100,000 people go to weekly services at Hillsong in 20 different countries.
