Halle Berry is mourning the passing of her former co-star and dear friend, Natalie Desselle Reid! The actress shared a heartbreaking tribute in which she expressed her feelings about this shocking and painful death.
Berry took to her Twitter account to tell her followers how stunned she felt by the tragic news.
As you might remember, Halle Berry starred alongside Reid in the 1997 comedy B.A.P.S and she could not help but express her regret over the painful loss.
She paid tribute to the late actress, saying that ‘I am still processing this devastating news – and as I continue to read all your kind words, memories of Natalie continue to flood back to me. Natalie was one of the most precious people I’ve ever known. The second I met her our hearts were intertwined – we had a connection that was simply unexplainable, and she stayed her same sweet self all the years I knew her.’
Halle went on to recall how their bond formed while on the set of the cult classic, saying that their friendship continued throughout the years.
‘She and I would hoot and holler over every BAPS tribute we came across, sending them back and forth to one another, overwhelmed that our on-screen friendship meant as much to you as it did to us. She was especially humbled by that, as am I. Above all, she was a daughter, wife, friend and mother, and my heart is with her entire family, especially with Leonard, Sereno, Summer and Sasha. I’ll love you forever my sweet friend. Ima miss you Nat Dog!’
This lengthy tribute came after the actress had also tweeted about her dear friend’s death earlier in the day.
Berry posted a gif from the comedy and in the caption, expressed how shocked and devastated she was by the news.
Reid was only 53 years old and passed away after a private battle with colon cancer.
At the time of her death, the actress was in hospice care, surrounded by her most loved ones.
