Gizelle Bryant definitely turned heads when she rekindled her romance with her ex-husband, Jamal Bryant. In addition to her own daughters feeling iffy about the situation, her father made comments towards the end of the show that shocked viewers.
If you know about Gizelle and Jamal’s relationship pre-Real Housewives of Potomac, then you’d know that they split because of his infidelities. There has always been knowledge of a child outside of his marriage, but at the end of the latest episode Gizelle’s dad doesn’t give the relationship his stamp of approval.
The dad thought that his mic wasn’t on when he admitted that the relationship wasn’t good for her because Jamal has six or seven kids!
On Bravo’s new series called Bravo’s Chat Room, Gizelle explained that although he is a straight shooter, her dad still supports her decision to reunite.
‘So, you know, my dad is 82 years old, y’all. So 82 year olds are gonna say something reckless out their mouth. And that’s fine. He does support me, he loves me. If I got married tomorrow, he’d be walking me down the aisle, and that’s all that ever matters to me.’

That’s when her co-host, Porsha Wiliams, chimed in to explain how she relates.
‘Listen, at the end of the day, I have definitely been in serious relationships and through breakups, and I have had a breakup where you tell your family stuff, they don’t get over it sometimes. But what I love about your dad, though, is that he stands by you and your decision and what’s gonna make you happy for your family. And a lot of people, they get themselves in the way of that by still standing firm on, ‘I don’t want you with this person,’ but your heart is leading you a different way, and he’s going with that, and that is what’s so beautiful about that.’
Bryant explained that she’s changed since their first marriage. She feels that she is equal now so she is going to see how their movie plays out.
