Future And Drake’s Song ‘Life Is Good’ Goes Platinum 7 Times

Future and Drake dropped a new song this year, “Life Is Good,” and it was a big hit for both artists. What makes the track so surprising is the fact it came at a time that many have described as one of the worst periods in the last decade on account of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, “Life Is Good” was officially certified platinum a whopping seven times this week, making it one of the most successful singles thus far this year.

The outlet also claims that the song managed to get over a billion views on YouTube, so it’s clear the song did well. Hot New Hip Hop claims that in terms of its competition, “The Box,” from Roddy Ricch is a main contender.

However, the release of “WAP” from Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B also poses stiff competition. The outlet claims “WAP” is currently just platinum, however. As most know, “WAP” was one of the more talked about singles of the year but for negative reasons rather than positive ones.

For instance, fans of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion weren’t happy with the fact Kylie Jenner was included in the music video rather than another black performing artist. Fans even went so far as to make an online petition demanding her removal from the video.

Regarding Drake and Future, both rappers have been on top of the charts repeatedly over the last few years. Drake currently has a new project on its way, Certified Lover Boy, but it hasn’t been released yet much to his fans’ chagrin.

Future, on the other hand, continues to make appearances across features. Future has been in the headlines for other reasons lately as well, including his relationship with Steve Harvey’s daughter, Lori, whom he recently broke up with.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the couple’s romance was in turmoil. Back in August of this year, fans joked how Lori was one of the few women that managed to date Future without walking away from the relationship with one of his babies.
