Eric Trump Seems To Come Out As ‘Part Of The LGBT Community’ And Social Media Raises A Collective Eyebrow

Did Eric Trump misspeak when he told the world that he was ‘part of the LGBT community’ in a new Fox News live interview? Now social media is very confused about how to react to that reveal and so, the reactions are mostly mixed.

It all started with Eric being asked, while on an episode of Fox and Friends, about a lesbian from New York who supports his dad, Donald Trump’s current presidential campaign.

In response, Eric Trump stated: ‘I’m telling you, I see it every day, the LGBT community, they are incredible and you should see how they’ve come out in full force for my dad every single day. I am part of that community and we love the man and thank you for protecting our neighborhoods and thank you for protecting our cities.’

Did Eric Trump just come out? His statement definitely caused many to scratch their heads because it would obviously be more expected for him to misspeak instead.

Regardless, the speculations and the discussions on this topic soon took over Twitter.

Here are some of the reactions his response got: ‘eric trump coming out is not the birthday gift this homosexual wanted.’ / ‘Does @EricTrump know what LGBT(Q) means?’

At the same time, there were many users who expressed their anger over Eric Trump pandering to the LGBTQ community just to make his father look better in the upcoming presidential election.

After all, during his administration, things have gotten much worse for the community when it comes to their human rights in America.

As you might remember, only a few days after he was elected as the POTUS, Donald Trump announced his decision to pull back the laws put in place to protect transgender soldiers serving in the military and this even included not allowing any new transgender recruits in addition to those already serving.

Eric Trump later clarified via the New York Post that: ‘many of our close friends are part of the LGBT community, which was the intent of my statement — the left has taken that vote for granted for a long time and support from the gay community for my father is incredible. As to me personally, as I think you know, I am a happily married man to my wife, Lara.’
