Fans of Teen Mom and of Briana DeJesus in particular, were shocked when she tweeted that she is ‘ok with not filming!’ Now, one report claims to know why the reality TV star ranted about leaving the show that made her famous.
As it turns out, according to an insider that spoke with The Ashley, the real reason why she threatened to quit Teen Mom is her boyfriend — Javi Gonzalez!
This comes after Briana DeJesus seemingly said goodbye to Teen Mom via several tweets!
Now, the source tells The Ashley that ‘MTV asked her to have her boyfriend get a COVID [19] test. Even if they don’t film him, he’s around her a lot, so they need him to test negative. It’s part of the COVID regulations.’
The news outlet noted that, apparently, Briana was not very happy about that.
‘When Briana was informed of this, she flipped out and said it wasn’t fair and that [the producers] can’t force her to do anything. The MTV crew can’t film with her until he’s tested because he’s around her so much and is a tattoo artist so there’s a risk of exposure.’
Apparently, the filming will continue to be on pause until Briana and the network come to an agreement, which is yet to happen at this point.
Another source noted that the star is not the only one upset, as the people behind the show are very frustrated as well.

‘People are very upset because they are down [in Florida], away from their families and homes for weeks in order to stay safe and get the season filmed, and now there’s this delay over a stupid test.’
After all, they apparently quarantined for weeks in a ‘bubble-like atmosphere’ before the production for the show started and they really feel like having someone untested around Briana will put everyone on set in danger and make their ‘bubble’ time useless in the end.
