Amber Heard Says She Did Not Fabricate Injuries — Is She To Be Trusted?

Amber Heard has declined all allegations that she fabricated injuries to show that her ex-husband Johnny Depp had been violent toward her, the actress said during a hearing at Britain’s High Court in London on Tuesday.

Depp’s lawyer, Eleanor Laws, questioned the Pirates of the Caribbean ex-wife to determine why none of their neighbors in Los Angeles had ever noticed her injuries days after the incident on May 21, 2016.

The actress has previously alleged Depp that he threw a phone at her as if “he was a baseball pitcher” that night, hitting her on the cheek and eye.

Heard declined the allegations, pointing out that she was wearing makeup to cover the traces. “Of course, I was injured,” Heard told the court.

Laws also inquired why Heard had not filed a restraining order after the incident. Heard said she needed some time and privacy to reflect on what had happened, adding that it was a tough moment for her, and presumably for her then-husband.

Heard also declined the allegations of having an extramarital affair with anyone, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk and actor James Franco.

During her first court testimony on Monday, Heard once again accused Johnny Depp of abusing her physically and mentally while he was allegedly on alcohol and drugs. The actress said she feared for her life on numerous occasions during their relationship.

Heard also added that Depp threatened to kill her many times, especially at the end of their marriage. She said he blamed his actions on a ”self-created third party” that he referred to as ”the monster.” The Aquaman actress’s testimony is set to last until Thursday.

Depp and Heard met each other in 2011 on the set of the comedy ”The Rum Diary.” They became a couple a year later and got married in February 2015 in Los Angeles. In 2016, Heard file for divorce which was finalized in 2017.

Depp was previously married to the French artist Vanessa Paradis with whom he shares two children.

The London court is now examining Depp’s libel suit against the British tabloid The Sun over a 2018 article labeling him as a ”wife beater” for allegedly abusing Heard. The Hollywood star has vigorously declined the domestic abuse accusations.

Both Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder supported their ex-partner with statements to the jury. They acknowledged that while they cannot confirm what happened between Depp and Heard, Depp was never violent toward them in the past.

What do you think? Do you believe that Johnny Depp was abusing Amber Heard during their marriage?
